\nIn the human being\u2019s everyday life, brushing<\/strong> marks the beginning of the day: by shaping one\u2019s hair, most of us get ready for a morning routine indeed.\n<\/p>\n

\nIn the cycle of production of wool<\/strong>, the same term identifies, on the other hand, the conclusion of a long process<\/strong>, anticipating of the final cloth. After talking about washing<\/a>, drying and carding<\/a>, it\u2019s now time for brushing<\/strong>, that moment allowing to make the fibers straight, regular and parallel. The final ribbon, with no leftover hair, is named top<\/strong> and it\u2019s fundamental for spinning<\/strong>. \t\n<\/p>\n

\nThe first project for a wooden spinning wheel<\/strong> was found among Leonardo Da Vinci<\/strong>\u2019s drawings, but the patent for a mechanical<\/strong> one, by English engineer Richard Arkwright<\/strong>, was made in 1770. By using a spindle<\/strong> (a hand\u2019s width long stick), it originates a twisting of fibers<\/strong>, getting the final yard<\/strong> \u2013 a homogeneous, strong one \u2013 which is necessary for fabrics to be done.\n<\/p>\n
